WHAT IS TANDEM PARAGLIDING?
Have you ever dreamed of trying tandem paragliding but felt intimidated? Maybe you couldn’t help thinking that you wanted to experience paragliding, at least once in your lifetime. There was no way to know it without trying.
It was a feeling like no other you ever experience after you take off and flying. A mix of thrill, fascination, and wonder. The initial fear didn’t last for long, swept away by a unique sensation of freedom and astonishing views of the landscape surrounding you like a bird.
Paragliding is a free flight done with the help of a lightweight wing inflated by the wind. The pilot sits in a harness below the fabric canopy, held by suspension lines, and our instructor who will take care of everything to flies exploiting thermals to gain height. In the case of tandem paragliding, the equipment is larger and more resistant, designed to carry a pilot and a passenger.
After you experience it and you wish to pursuit onto this sport and became a certified paraglider. You are welcome to sign up the Student Pilot Course later wit us.
Our instructors are excellent cross-country pilots,
proven in competition and in record breaking.
Also, remember that paragliding is strongly related to weather conditions. The instructor has the last word in deciding if it’s safer to call off the activity and plan it on another day.
ABOUT KOTA PUTRA EXTREME PARAGLIDING PARK in BUKIT BUBUS, DENDONG BEACH, TERENGGANU
Located in Terengganu, Bukit Bubus is a popular spot for paragliding in the state. Since it is close to the sea, taking a leap from this peak will send you flying across one of the most beautiful beaches in Malaysia. It was where the International Paragliding Competition was held in 2017. Kota Putera Paragliding Park, or more familiarly known as "Mini Bali" among international paragliders for Kota Putra Extreme Paragliding Park. The park that is located at an altitude of 165m on Bukit Bubus, will be developed into a world-renowned paragliding park, to suit its popularity as the best paragliding park on the East Coast.
The unique geographical location of Bukit Bubus had similar features with the paragliding park in Bali, Indonesia, although being smaller in size. "It is rare to find a paragliding park-like at Bukit Bubus which is situated near to the sea. With an altitude of 85 meters above sea level, Bukit Bubus is the most suitable location to carry out this activity because the wind comes from the sea to the land consistently from 11 am to 7 pm all the time.
At an altitude of 300 to 500 meters above sea level, glide through the sky as you take in the wondrous scenery surrounding Bukit Bubus, and the beautiful Terengganu coastline you can see the beauty of the beach, the South China Sea stretches wide, Perhentian Island, Rhu Island and Bukit Keluang.

Safety
Safety briefing will be conducted on land before participants take-off. Participant must follow all safety instruction at all time.
If wind condition is not perfect to take-off, instructor will not fly.
Reschedule or postpone will appy if it's not a good paragliding day.

Insurance Coverage For Malaysian, you are covered by insurance. We have insurance coverage for all our tandem flights, therefore we are compliant to the regulation from DCA (Department of Civil Aviation) that are managed by MSAF (Malaysia Sports Aviation Federation).
For expat, it's essential for you to get insurance protection for your extreme sports activities, or you have your insurance protection and coverage when signing up for this activity. We want you to have a piece of mind when engaging in the activities with us and enjoy them.
Starting from 1 June 2017, we are including the insurance registration as part of the complimentary for all Malaysian and this is a compulsory requirement for bookings made through us.
For Malaysian, your coverage for tandem paragliding are from Re-Claim by Lonpac Insurance Berhad. Sum assured of RM10,000 for death and permanent disability only. Cover per person for full activity day. Please fill in the insurance form that we send it to you upon your booking.
